required weight loss pre-op

my sugery is scheduled for 2 weeks from today and I am required to lose 10 lbs before surgery. I started my 3 week liquid diet a week ago and have actually gained 7 lbs. I don't understands how I am gaining weight since I am on liquids. I am having a hard tie dring 64of Water with 3 Meal Replacements its a lot of liquid . Any advice on what I can do?

If it was me, I would call the doctor's office. It does seem weird to me that you would gain on a liquid diet. Best bet is to call them & seek counsel since the 10 lb loss is their requirement, and it's their plan that's evidently caused the weight gain. They should be kept informed that this is going on, and can perhaps make alterations to your pre-op plan. Don't get discouraged -- they are on your side and want to help you succeed. Reach out and get some help from them.
