python25 5 Posted October 29, 2013 Went to my 1 week appointment on Friday and all is well!! Still no issues with anything. It is now 12 days since surgery and 36 lbs lost since Oct 1 and 20lbs since after surgery (Oct 16th). Feeling good but the liquid phase 1 is really boring. Can't wait to get to phase 2 on Thursday. Should have much more variety. 4 ReEstDec2013, gamergirl, Teachamy and 1 other reacted to this
PGee 318 Posted October 29, 2013 Congratulations! Sounds like you're doing great, keep up the good work.....what is your stage 2 look like, full liquids or pureed foods?
python25 5 Posted October 29, 2013 Phase 2 is puréed food. And will be on this for 4 weeks. But will be able to eat more a variety of Soups (cream of potato, Tomato Soup, cream of chicken, got back to Protein Shakes which are great. Then off to testing regular foods on Nov 19!! Teachamy 1,042 Posted October 29, 2013 Thanks for the update. It is nice to read a "smooth sailing" post, since I am STILL (ugh) pre-op.
Roo101769 742 Posted October 29, 2013 I just had my first post op check today.( sleeved 10/21) Doctor said I am doing great. I have lost 10lbs since my pre op check on the 17th. (Down 40 lbs from highest weight) He told me to go ahead and start incorporating purees into my diet. I can't do much at all, but that little bit does help with the "tired" feeling. I came home and made a bowl of "cream of" soup..Cream of chicken, cream of potato and cream of broccoli. Mix all together then put a couple spoonfuls in a blender with equal parts milk. Blend then heat and eat. The combined tastes are great. And it will last for a while. Anyway, good luck on your post op!
