meaganchuckran 7 Posted October 29, 2013 I had surgery on 10/23 .. So I'm in full liquids with yogurt being in the category. Can I go out to get some froyo? It's all low fat or fat free...
BlessedBeyondMeasure2012 296 Posted October 29, 2013 I had froyo once in August (I had surgery the end of March) and it made me feel like crap. That is the only thing I have eaten that made me feel bad and if I had to say, I think it caused a "dumping" episode. I would think it would be okay as far as it being considered a full liquid but I'd be careful. Froyo was one of the foods on the "no-no" list my surgeon gave me early on. The only reason I tried it at all was because I had my gall bladder out and had no appetite. I figured froyo calories would give me something but I regretted it later. If you decide to try it I hope it is nicer to you than it was to me! Good luck!
TapSnap 357 Posted October 29, 2013 I have a sweet frog down the road from me. This is just like a froyo. I use it as a weekend treat. I get a small with some fruit in it. no candies and things. I do the no sugar added flavors. But I just started doing this and I am 9 months out. Everyone is different about how they feel when they eat different things. 1 BlessedBeyondMeasure2012 reacted to this
Teachamy 1,042 Posted October 29, 2013 This may sound like a stupid question, but has anyone ever tried to freeze a regular yogurt? I imagine it ends up looking more like a popsicle than ice cream, but I wonder if it would be palatable?

endless80 697 Posted October 29, 2013 Oh sorry, surgery on 10/23? I don't recommend it yet. Sugar slows down healing.
cindymg 629 Posted October 29, 2013 I get the sugar free version and it is good. But it's a bit of a slider food for me so I limit how much I get.
