Wow congratulations! How gave you adjusted? What's a sample of your daily diet? Did you gave any side effects or complication?

I have adjusted pretty well, I still feel like I need to eat at night. Most of the time I'll eat like a mini bag of popcorn when I feel like that. I wake up and drink a Protein Shake in the morning and by lunch time I'm pretty hungry. I really like cheese, it's easy to eat and it doesn't hurt. So I'll eat a cheese stick with some turkey or chicken. And dinners I make normal things for my family and eat what I can. I'm still doing good with my portion sizes. I have not been the perfect patient, i do go out on the weekends and have drinks and I have been getting into the Halloween candy but I think it's ok to enjoy every now and then. As for my pre weight loss, I lost 20 pounds. I wasn't required to loose weight I was just supervised by the doctor for 6 months. She put me on phentermine, and it helped me loose weight but it made me really mean and short tempered. Overall I'm so happy with my results, now I really need to step it up and work out more and make sure I get in all my Protein. Thank you all for your nice comments!

And I didn't have any complications or side effects. I still get heart burn which sucks. I was released the day after my surgery, barely any pain, no gas pain. I was up and walking around right after I woke up from anesthesia. I think I stayed in bed for three days then I felt like I was ready to get back to house work. I guess a side effect would be I'm always cold but it's an easy fix!

It is hard for me to believe that your current photo is at 190 pounds. You look amazing. How tall are you? I should also try to get down to 160 but am not optimistic that I will make it. If I look as great as you when I hit 190 I may just stop there. Thanks for sharing your photos

Thank you! I really haven't exercised ive gone on a couple walks here and there but don't have a gym membership. My weight loss has slowed down a lot so im getting a membership this week. I think doing this in my twenties has helped with the weight loss too.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
