Shoota 33 Posted October 28, 2013 Okay, it's been almost 6 months since surgery. Lost close to 100 pounds. Things I have noticed. Firstly, I have gone through all the clothes I had in my closet, from xxxl to l. Even the clothes I used to wear when I thought I was at a " normal" weight are huge on me. Hard, uncushioned chairs are uncomfortable for my now bony butt, painful! The weight loss has happened so quickly that when I look in the mirror I can't wrap my head around the way I look. I can walk up 3 flights of stairs at work without having to sit down and catch my breath before I can chat with someone. I'm not depressed anymore, and don't let people take advantage of me. 3 different responses from people who haven't seen me prior to surgery. One, they don't recognize me, two they recognize me but say nothing about my weight loss because they fear that I've contracted some deadly disease, and three, they congratulate me on my weight loss and ask how I did it. I have become addicted to checking my weight 3 times a week dreading the thought of gaining an ounce. I struggle through days when I don't work out because of the guilt of betraying myself. Unfortunately, the indentation my massive stomach made in my bed will not go away, I have to put a pillow in it to fill it up. Most importantly, I don't wake up twice a night to hit the bathroom, all that weight on my bladder is gone. 2 ElyQuint and Teachamy reacted to this
RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted October 28, 2013 I hear you...taking stairs now myself. Bony butt...awful.....No one recognizes me..That is a good thing..NO ONE has commented on my weight loss..My neighbor who used to be my friend is now ignoring me. I think she is angry because I did not give her all the details...She is a nurse and I think she wanted to take credit for my weight loss...My hubby thinks that she is just waiting for me to gain it all back.... Life can send curves that's for sure.. Don't stress too much seems to me you are working your sleeve well...STOP weighing yourself so much you are going to get false readings and then get discouraged....K

Alysha23 31 Posted October 28, 2013 I'm still patiently awaiting my approval. OMG the mattress thing. My husband is worried about me buying new clothes. Wait until I ask for a new mattress: ) Thanks for sharing and congratulations!
