Melting in Az 22 Posted October 28, 2013 My bmi was only 31 and I was sleeved September 25, 2013. I'm only 4 1/2 weeks out but I'm loving my sleeve.
stefaniwg 172 Posted October 28, 2013 I was sleeved 5 months ago with a 34 bmi weighing 185. Today my bmi is 25 and I weigh 144. It is much slower for us since there isn't as much to lose and my skin isn't bad at all. Good luck to those with upcoming surgeries. You will do great!!! 1 Melting in Az reacted to this
Georgiagirl27 17 Posted October 28, 2013 I have a low BMI and I really want to have this surgery in February. The problem is that my husband is very much against it. He says I can lose weight without surgery. I told him he was right! I can lose weight but I can't keep it off! I have lost the same 50 pounds over and over again. I am so tired of losing weight and gaining weight and feeling ashamed for gaining it back. 2 sandisleeve and jallsop reacted to this
Alex Brecher 10,515 Posted October 28, 2013 Would love to see a section for people with low BMI that is having the surgery. Thanks! That's a great idea! My suggestion would be to start your own Low BMI Support Group. This will automatically create a forum as well as a place for all the low BMI members to connect and support each other. 1 No game reacted to this
LisaDM 194 Posted October 28, 2013 My BMI was 35.9 when I first met with my surgeon in June, 34.8 on the day of surgery. I am 3 weeks out and have lost 12 lbs since surgery, though I have been in a stall for the last week. Hoping it breaks soon. I don't expect to lost fast due to having a lower BMI, but not losing anything so soon sucks. I am not freaking out just yet though, seems a stall around 3 weeks is common. I am sure things will get moving again soon.

If you can get it up and running and show people how to join it's really a great thing, because you will be all going through the same things without outside chatter It's what I like about the group I belong to, it doesn't get derailed by off topic stuff..
