It was 78 here in STL with lots of storms and wind. One minute sunny, next minute 50 hour winds, rain storms and 5 minutes later clear. Last weekend it was almost 70 Sunday and by Monday evening in the 30s and same on Tuesday and back to 50. I have a cold now came on Thursday so only got 3.5 miles in fo rthe week. This past week was my first week back to work full-time and wore me out more than I thought it would. I should be able to make my goal by the end of the month.

That's funny cause my BIL and SIL who are here with us are from STL. They actually split there time between there and Jefferson City MO.

Hi all! I'm checking in after a few days...I got another 32 miles in this past week doing the treadmill, walking, and exercise bike. Total for now is 66. I'm still doing well with C25K. I decided to do an extra few days of week 2 as I didn't really to move on to the next week. Good job everyone! I'll check in again soon.

Update through Nov 17

Goal: 10,000+ steps per day average for the month

Current Average: 10782.94

Total Miles: 52.16

Down a little because I was in the car for 14 hours on Sunday, and had a couple of hectic days/strength-training days last week.

Worked out my strength training exercises and prelim goals with PT on Friday. Need to put them in a spreadsheet so it's easier to change them up.

He's really REALLY into whole body exercises, so I'll be doing a butt-load of push-ups, chin-ups, and planking! New goals for December, Butter!!! We'll have to do this again!

A great 5.05 miles walked today including a very nice 1.00 walk with the wife. Always more fun when she is with me. We have set our goal for our 1st 5K on Feb 1st. We will be walking it, but we will be participating...that is what counts. Weighed in at 287 this morning, most definitely my lowest in 25 years!

My total for the month is now at 81.2 miles. Feeling GREAT!!

Well I haven't checked in because I just found the new app. I kept trying to log into the old one lol. I failed my goals this month due to very painful kidney stones. I've been in pain for weeks now :/ Darn things just won't pass. I'll try again after I get these awful things out lol

Thank you! This is my 4th time having kidney stones in the last 7 years. They are awful lol Thank goodness I'm able to continue working at this point and stay off the pain meds during the day. I haven't heard that about Gatorade before. Coincidentally though, I've been drinking quite a bit of G2 the last week due to me still struggling to get all my fluids in. :/ I'll bounce back soon hopefully lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
