full liquid or pureed?

Recommended Posts

Ok so I was sleeved on Oct 22nd and I am on 2 weeks Full liquid diet. My question is?? What is the actual difference between full liquid and pureed? I mean my 2nd day in the hospital whn I started Full liquids the kitchen brought me blended chicken Soup. Nonfat milk and a vanilla pudding cup. The items were thick. I was surprised. So the bariatric nurse said full liquid diet is anything Pourable or smooth. So again somebody help me out here. Cant I just blend up some cauliflower or broccoli to make it pourable? And if so whats the difference. Thanks!

Wow! I was sleeved same day as you and I'm on Clear Liquids until next week.

I'm slightly envious that you get to taste flavors besides juice or chicken broth!

it's a continuum. This this way... can you pour it? Mashed potato is pureed. Add enough liquid so it pours and it becomes "full liquid".
