Yes. A coworker did. Her urine color was practically brown it was so dark. Extreme fatigue. But the main symptom she had was pinching the skin on her wrist and it didn't snap back in to place... Her skin stayed pinched. She got 2 bags of IV fluids and felt normal again. Hoping you're okay! ;)

Take one of those medicine cups you get with liquid meds. Fill it up with Water every 30 minutes. Sip it. At the end of 30 minutes repeat. If you do this all day long you will get enough fluids in to keep from being dehydrated. It sucks, and it is time consuming.....but it works! I am more then two years post op and now I have no problems with getting all of my fluids in. When you are in the moment it seems like forever, but this to shall pass. For those gulpers out there....yes, you will be able to gulp away again. This surgery has been my life saver. And while I will admit that at times (in the very beginning) it has sucked....I would do this surgery a thousand times over! The sleeve was my miracle! Good luck to you! :) :) :)

A nurse at my bariatric office told me to take a nice tall glass of ice Water and a spoon and take a spoonful every five minutes. That was my job for the day and it worked!

Get some G2 Gatorade and mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with Water and drink that...It will hydrate you very quickly...almost 1 year out I still drink some every day....I get in a lot of fluids too but I know I still need it.....

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
