Tbird49 66 Posted October 26, 2013 I was never a big Water drinker to begin with and I understand in my head that I need to get my 64 oz in especially now .... But I gave such a hard time , I have tried all the additives , etc is something wrong with me ???? Feeling frustrated !!!
Lulu5 24 Posted October 26, 2013 Prior to surgery, I LOVED Water, ice cold water, and I drank it all the time. Since my surgery 4 weeks ago, I struggle to get in my water every day and I haven't once reached my goal of 64oz. I've tried all additives too and I HATE fruity flavors and juice. I've added lemon and cucumber, crystal light, sf kool aid, mio, etc. I've tried room temp and cold. I can, however, eat ice and I try to do that all day long. I've also found that if I dilute apple juice (the only juice I like) I can drink that. But it's a constant struggle and I hope it gets better. Good luck to you! ReDbEaN 654 Posted October 26, 2013 I used to love Water but now it makes me nauseated/feel sick A LOT...I make myself drink it but it's hard at times. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
taylokat 180 Posted October 26, 2013 I struggle with Water too and pre op I had no problem. I find Syntrax lemon Protein tea helps me get my water in. Also Vitamin water zero is a nice treat and helps with water intake. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
penman53 493 Posted October 27, 2013 The MIO works for me. I use it all the time. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
Chele H 427 Posted October 27, 2013 I find that different bottled waters have slightly different tastes.....try a few different kinds. For me Dasani tastes the best. Also for tap Water, I mix about 60% water and 40% apple juice and it goes down very easily. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
ccc 4 Posted October 29, 2013 I found out that warm/hot tea/water goes down super easy! Cold liquids make me sick. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
clk 3,519 Posted October 29, 2013 If you're early out it's no surprise. And even vets have issues with this sometimes. There are even threads on it in the vet forum, I believe! I still struggle at times. I just get sick of Water and I avoid most of the drops, too. I only do the ones that have B Vitamins in them, since I'm always low on those. But at times plain Water will still make me feel nauseated and other times I just get tired of drinking around the clock. Or visiting the restroom around the clock! Just work at it and don't quit. There's a definite difference in my loss pattern if I go low on water several days in a row. Close counts here, so drink as much as you can and don't start drinking other things instead. You can run into a real issue if you sub that water for juice, sweet coffees or teas or (heaven forbid, *gasp!*) soda just because you're sick of the H2O. ~Cheri 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
Fiddleman 4,376 Posted October 29, 2013 The additives do get old and definitely taste artificial, especially mio. True lime and lemon to the rescue. I have to flavor or I just won't drink enough. Hot apple cider is also good now that it is getting colder. 1 Tbird49 reacted to this
