When can I start eating a little more? Tomorrow I will post op 4 weeks. I am fortunate that so far I have had no issues.

I have only told 3 people about my surgery. I have lunch plans with a client today and I am

So nervous about eating like a bird in front if her.

Right now I can drink 16 oz Water in 3/4 of an hour. Same with 11 oz premier Protein shake

Soups go down pretty easy. As does Greek yogurt.

It takes me 2 hours to eat egg and chicken salad. At one sitting I probably can eat between 1-2oz.

I am very pleased with my sleeve. I just want some spence of normalsey. I would be so grateful if eventually I could eat 4oz at one setting.

When did everyone start to eat a little more? Thanks

We are all different, my experience was easy, so I need to pay attention to amounts (and expect to do so forever).

All I can advise is go, enjoy and maybe Soup today!

I suggest that a restaurant is NOT the place to try new things... you don't want any surprises there!!! Practice at home.

At five months post my capacity had increased. Enjoy and use this time to develop better habits. Make the most of it. Just tell the person you had a Breakfast meeting as well so you can't eat much.

I am 3 months out and I still can't eat very much. I can get about 1.5 -2 oz of dense Protein in at a time. Sometimes, just a couple of bites. I hope that it increases in the future but right now I am very happy with the little bit I can eat. I want to take advantage of this time for as long as I can.

If Soup goes down well for you, just order that for lunch.

Don't rush it. Eating too much may cause it to come back up..and you don't want that. Try to focus on something else (I know its hard). this is the time when you can lose the most amount of weight, but it may slow down if you rush it. there will be a point in time when your able to eat more, take advantage of this time now.. when the sleeve doesn't want much more.. take your time.. patience..this is the long haul, but well worth it in the end

Great advise everyone. I just like to know what is ahead. It makes some of the tough times a little easier

I had this problem at about a month post-op and I just said I wasn't overly hungry. Most people may notice that you're not eating much, but won't be rude enough to comment on it. I like the Soup idea someone else had, although be careful- I thought I was good with soup until I accidentally got one with way more fat than I thought was supposed to be in that kind of soup. I felt miserable almost immediately.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Am feeling this right now. My surgery date is 4/1. Sign the consent tomorrow. I feel like I overloaded myself with too much info, too many opinions. Got to the point where I was wondering if I should do this. Then I thought of my reasons for taking this step and that settled my nerves. Still get moments of doubt but am striving forward. Am just going to follow my book from the surgeon. Joined this because I was told by my dietician that I should do this for support
