I am 2 weeks post op and feel up to going to the gym. The doc also cleared it. How much Should I start with? I've been walking 30 min a day. Quite frankly I feel like I can take on the world :) what did everyone else start with? Can I do a class?

At two weeks post op, it is best to keep walking. Think about increasing distance and speed. You want to give yourself up to 6 weeks to heal properly before taking on the rigors of the gym.

He cleared you for the gym but not to lift any weights right? I couldn't lift anything heavy for 4 weeks. Then because of my job he wouldn't clear me for full duty for another 3 after that.

I'd stay away from classes and anything crazy. Stick to the treadmill or bike. Anything else will require to much use of your abs. They need the time to heal. My doc wanted me to hit two miles a day.
