lswelk 22 Posted October 24, 2013 I've gotten to the point where I just laugh at people who think it's a bad idea. They don't get it unless they've struggled with weight. I just tell them I am so comfortable with this decision' date=' and have thought about it for years. They are just hearing it, so it can be shocking at first. My parents weren't that happy when they first heard (I am 37), but they are totally supportive now. I am so close to my date!![/quote'] Thanks for your note. Good for your for doing it at your young age. I have had slim periods in my adult life. But for the last 20 years have struggled and hovered around 210-240. It's my time, while I have time left. Best to you. My date is undetermined, but should be lat December or January. 1 dantrup reacted to this
sadfat1962 11 Posted October 30, 2013 It is your decision... It is life changing. It's forever. It's work. Everyday. I had about the same stats as yourself... If I could go back, I wouldn't of had the surgery. No intention of discouraging you, just my experience and opinion. Not everyone loves their sleeve. I fall in the percentage of patients who have regretted the surgery and have had complications from day one. Either way you decide, you do it for you!! Good luck and God bless you!
