Nervous about a leak. Pain in shoulder blade

Recommended Posts

Randomly out of the blue yesterday right under my left shoulder blade started hurting. It feels like a pulled muscle but I am not so sure. Im 3 months post op today. I plan to call my Dr when they open but does anyone have any thoughts?

I woke up with terrible shoulder pain after my surgery, my doctor gave me some medication and it cleared up within a week!

I didn't think leaks were possible at 3 months out!

Thanks. Im hoping it is just a pulled muscle. I work out 5 days a week so hoping I tweaked it.

I don't know for sure obviously, but I don't think it sounds like a leak. I believe the shoulder pain people get with a leak feels the same if not similar to someone who is bleeding internally and gets shoulder pain. Which I have experienced. It's quite painful and all you want is someone to rub your shoulders for you to make the pain go away. I do know with internal bleeding the most painful thing I experienced was the feeling like my body was being electrocuted over and over again. Also, you are 3 months out. My surgeon said it's very unlikely that you'll get a leak once you pass the 10 day mark.

Thank you for the reassurance. After being on the treadmill this morning and while on it I had no pain so I truly believe I pulled a muscle.
