luckyme2g 35 Posted October 22, 2013 It went well! Dr agrees that VSG is the right procedure for me. I had my chest x-Ray today and next week I meet with the NUT and do the psych eval. Then I just have to get some labs and EKG done, meet with the exercise physiologist, have a sleep study, and go to a support group meeting and they will be ready to submit me to insurance. There's a slim chance I could be a December sleever, but it will most likely be January! I am so excited!! The patient advocate doesn't think I will have a problem getting approved. I just hope my employer doesn't change my plan between December and January, that is something I am going to find out in the next week or so I hope. 4 DPH, Cupcake, Cherryhair and 1 other reacted to this

luckyme2g 35 Posted October 23, 2013 Yay! It's kind of reassuring knowing there are others in the same point of the process
BladeFox 235 Posted October 24, 2013 I went to my first visit August 22, was given a goal to lose 5 lbs, have gained 2 instead. Now ok need to lose 7lbs and afraid that I will keep gaining before they ok me for surgery. I was hoping to be in surgery by the end of Nov but now thinking it won't happen intil next year too. I feel like I have to be perfect with everything before I'm given the green light to advance. Take your Vitamins, chew slower, no caffeine, drink 6-8 glasses of Water, eat three meals a day, blah, bla, blah, I mean WOW! Are you all going through the same thing? luckyme2g 35 Posted October 24, 2013 I haven't had my nutritionist visit yet, so I don't have a specific diet. I was, however, told that if I gain more than 10 lb between now and surgery I have to lose that before we can proceed. They said it was to avoid the " last supper" complex between now and when I start my pre-op diet
