I'm actually starting to think those 300cal microwave meals are kinda filling. (Im not on liquid only).

And I did lick the salt off a cracker last night.

I was drinking just Water for the first 3 days and then I realized that we had crystal light. Crystal light is the most delicious tasting drink after 3 days of plain water. I am day 7 of my diet and I am not super hungry anymore. It feels weird to say that knowing 1000 calories a day is not many for the average person.

My Dr said I am not required to do a pre-op diet but I plan on doing it for the 2 or 3 days prior to surgery just to clean myself out. So much for taking advantage of the all inclusive resort! LOL

I'm sure I will be ready to lick a cow after just a couple of days!!!

Omg...this made laugh. I had dreams of chewing food last night. I am not hungry, just wanting something to munch on. Was at the grocery store the other day helping my Mom and walked by hotdogs and instantly wanted one. I hate hotdogs, haven't had one in years. But there I was, staring at the hotdogs drooling. Smh.

My dr wants me to do 2 Protein replacement meal with one solid meal of protein and veggies for two weeks. 2nd day and starving. Does it get any easier? I also hope I don't have this starving feeling after my surgery on the 4th of Nov.

Haha... I felt like that about my GasX tablet... Kinds looked forward to it. I had 10 days of Clear Liquids, which was tough. It's hard but just hang in there! Now I am completely relieved one week out because I can have yogurt, Protein Shakes, and creamy Soup. I let the soup cool down a bit and add unflavored Syntrax Protein Powder. Doesn't change the taste at at!.

Yeah, lets try to avoid the grocery store during the pre op diet. That's all bad.

Yes it does get easier, I'm on day 5, feeling great. Not hungry. Nerves are a little fried but other than that dieters beeotchiness I'm fine. I am definetley avoiding looking at the food signs today. It's the Devil testing me! Lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
