I am 11 days post-op and I'm afraid my sleeve has stretched!! I can drink as much as I want without getting that full tight feeling. But I get full with about a cup of Soup (cream of chicken, potato, ect). Does this sound bad? I'm glad I can drink the fluids but I'm worried about it being stretched.

Sounds normal. I was always able to drink like a camel and some people are able to eat right away. Be careful not to irritate things though.. Your stomach is still pretty tender

I've never felt a sense of fullness when drinking. It takes real food for me to feel my restriction. So I think your as normal as me! P.S. Don't read too much into that... it'll just make things worse. :P

I was sleeved 10/7/13 and feel the same. I can take down fluids with no problems. But when the food comes that's when I really fill the restriction. I am on purée/soft and I instantly know after 3 to 4 spoons that's it I'm full!

Come to think of it, I'm 6 weeks out today and I've never felt full drinking anything really. You didn't stretch your sleeve out.

I felt the same and I was sleeved on Sept 20th. However, I still pace myself with liquids. I am to drink Water and not feel a thing! You are ok and very normal!

Same here. I'm 8 days postop and can drink well without problems. Real restricted eating though. I had a scrambled egg today and it went done perfectly. That's my limit. One egg or 4-6 ozs of Soup.< /p>

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
