Me too!! And I live way down south in Louisiana. I have been just carrying a lightweight jacket with me...and sleeping under 2 blankets (only on my side! The hubby would kill me if I put an extra blanket on his side). I used to always be cold' date=' then started being hot alla time, now that I'm losing weight I'm cold again.[/quote']Sleeve would be extra tough if I was surrounded by Cajun food every day! I have to go to BR and NOLA in March and already worried about it ;)

Trust me…IT IS!!! We have the BEST food down here!! I still eat it, but in much SMALLER quantities. I am cooking gumbo tomorrow for my son's bday…which is, SOOOO amazing. When I travel to other states, the food is so disappointing! Why do you come down on NOLA and BR??

I stay cold! Like others, it is especially bad at work. sugar free hot chocolate, a heavy sweater and a carefully hidden heater under my desk are necessary to my survival!

I've started to have hot flashes again!

Show off :D (just kidding, I know it's not fun.....I am cold all the time now....a first in my life)

Last night was a first......hubby is always cold due to a condition......he put a down comforter ontop of our quilt last night.....I was just warm enough and thankful for the comforter......this morning he tells me he was too hot.......we are in a cool spell, and our house is now 63-65 degrees......I refuse to put on the heat until after halloween -- Eight more days, and counting LOL

I am near St. Louis and we just started getting pretty cold - like freezing temps at night and only upper 40s in the day. I am about to die from cold! My husband wouldn't turn on the heat until it was 65 in the house - so he finally turned it on today. My hands are always like ice! I just bought an electric blanket - LOVE it! It goes with me from room to room.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
