Adventures in shapers

This is a freaking riot... but I have to ask, now that everybody knows that you step INTO Shapewear and peel it off like a banana - down, not over your head - is it going any better? LOL

YES! You have single-handedly saved many of us from having to play Twister while dressing. Thank you!

I bought a lovely dress to wear to work, but whilst it looked good I had a problem with the low south searching belly that has shrunk somewhat but could not be hidden in the dress. I bought some suck it in pants that go from your knees to under boob (probably not that long for normal height, but I'm only 5ft). I looked fabulous if I do say so. First meeting of the day went well, I was standing and speaking all good, even complements on how I looked. Second meeting not so good I was sitting at a computer running the system on a big screen for someone else's presentation. About 1/2 through I had this horrible feeling of my belly being pushed up to my boobs, started to sweat and having trouble breathing, I took a drink of Water which would not go down. I quickly slinked out of the room and almost ran to the loo, I have never been so pleased to get clothing off and breath. I made it back to the meeting, with my low belly and hid it behind my laptop while saying goodbye to everyone as they walked out. Note to self test these things out for sitting and standing, and the next dress I buy will have a twist or ruffles to hide the evil over hang.

CGJ I gave up on herroom for Shapewear, as they never have the industrial strength stuff I require, love to get my bras there though, they sell British brands that you can't get in the States and for some reason the Brits know their bras.

I have tried the high pants and the tank top type and they always roll at the waist. I haven't tried lately and I probably wouldn't invest in the body suit type until I get to goal because I guess I will just shrink out of it and they are so expensive! I think if I could get my panni (not panini, iPad) under control I would lose two pants sizes. I really hope the panni will continue to deflate and will just be empty skin at some point.

I bought the pant liner from her room. I love it..very firm support. I have different purpose though which is making me feel held together especially during exercise, skiing, riding etc. and prevent swelling (post plastics issues). The extra benefit is that they make my thighs trimmer. The problem with the pant liner is they are not high waist so would have given me a muffin top pre plastics.

What bra models are good?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
