Fit2btied 122 Posted October 21, 2013 Hi. I am 12 days post op constantly thirsty with a horrible dry mouth. I have Water with me all day but never is my thirst quenched. How can I tell if I'm dehydrated?
woo woo 872 Posted October 21, 2013 If you become severely dehydrated it's difficult to keep anything in your stomach including Water or other liquids. Not sure of other symptoms but that's a big red flag.

Fit2btied 122 Posted October 21, 2013 Does anyone know specifically for the newly sleeved patients if it's any different?
SleevedJune62013 167 Posted October 21, 2013 I found it easier to eat Sonic Ice or sugar free Popsicles than drink Water. Maybe that will help you get more liquids in?

JonRN 14 Posted October 21, 2013 If you are or before being sleeved ( and the Dr took you off meds) check your blood sugar. This is another sign of diabetes and/or blood sugar is high.
