Knee high boots was the thing I wanted to wear. I always had large calves so I couldn't find any that fit right. I am now the proud owner of 2 pair and love them!! I didn't even have to wait until goal . :-)

Pretty 1960's style mod dresses! :) I'd also like to learn to do my hair, nails, etc, finally because growing up as a fat girl no one really thought it was worth it to teach me those things (and my mom isn't really into girly things), so I feel like I missed out on Girly 101!

My hockey pads. I played for years without shoulder pads due to the rubbing and restrictions and also since I got too hot!

Hmmmm???? I can't wait to get into a sleek sexy dress and wear high heels that won't hurt in less than 5 minutes after I put them on. LOL

Mainly, I can't wait to shop in a regular size store.

I want to wear things that are much different than my "fat" clothes. I tended to always wear a jacket or sweater set to work, because I felt like layer "hid" my big ass. Like any type of clothes could actually hide 300 pounds, lol! I'm already making a conscious effort to dress a little different. I still have a pretty big behind, but no where near as bad. I'm on my third or fourth wardrobe, and I have to really prevent myself from buying sweater sets. I wear belts now, fitted clothes, and I never buy anything boxy. I love that I can shop for clothes at regular size shops, and it's official, I'm too small for Lane Bryant and other plus size clothes! It was a long time coming, but it is such a great feeling :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
