GoldyGirl 186 Posted October 20, 2013 I am 10 months out, reached my goal, and Keep Loosing. Not only do I keep losing, I keep getting dehydrated. I was in ER just yesterday. Upper GI did show gastritis. I am on more acid blockers. NOT hungry, sipping Water, feels like it did just weeks into this. I feel the last few months I have gone backwards. Yes, I did back off the Protein Shake for a while, trying to get it in with food. That did not work. I am back to basics with sipping water and mostly just on shakes and Greek yogurt. AS of yesterday. I was told not to even think of exercising for 2 weeks. I am sad, depressed and feel like I am going nuts. I am dizzy and major headache, they say that is due to dehydration. Anyone one been through this or have any advice,
feedyoureye 3,087 Posted October 20, 2013 That sounds miserable! So sorry this is happening, but congrats on your getting to goal. It sounds like when you get your hydration back up, you will feel better, as far as stopping losing, I think maintenance is hard for some to get in line. You like avocado, good fats, nuts? I hear some turn to those to add calories that are healthy...do you keep track on MFP or something to see that you are getting enough variety and Protein to feed your body correctly? Throw some walnuts into your Kashi go lean with milk in the morning? You might just have to look at food as medicine for a while to get to where you feel better and get that appetite back. Best of luck. 2 GoldyGirl and Ms skinniness reacted to this
gamergirl 4,610 Posted October 20, 2013 I don't have any advice just wanted to say I'm so sorry you're going through this. I know you'd posted once wondering if you were getting anorexic? Is that affecting your drinking as well do you think? I sure hope you feel better soon. 1 GoldyGirl reacted to this
lsereno 2,525 Posted October 20, 2013 My only advice is to make your health your priority. First is to drink enough fluids, if you want them or not. Second is to get enough Protein and third, to get a healthy amount of calories. I recommend using a meal plan and a schedule to accomplish that. Map out what you will eat at each meal/snack and schedule fluids. For example, 8 am : I cup fluids 9 am Protein Drink with at least 24 grams Protein 10:30 1 cup fluids 11:30 am 2 oz protein with 2 teaspoons healthy oil and 1/4 cup whole grain 12:30 1 cup whole fat milk 2 pm 1 cup fluids 3:30 pm 1/4 avocado, I oz full fat cheese, whole grain crackers 5 pm 1 cup fluids 6 pm 2 oz protein with 2 teaspoons healthy oil and 1/4 cup whole grain 8 pm Protein Drink with at least 24 grams protein 9:30 pm 1 cup fluids This gets you 64 oz fluids, more than 70 grams protein and a decent amount of calories. Eat and drink if you are hungry or not. 3 gamergirl, Georgia and MySouthernSleeveRevival reacted to this
