Each day has been getting better than the previous day. I don't have the gas pains as much, but every time I eat or sip something my new stomach growls at me with great volume! Today I pushed myself a lil too much by walking with my dog so I'm exhausted!

Blame the noises and gas on the dog. He won't mind.

Don't get discouraged. I'm almost two weeks out and am starting to feel a lot better, sublingual B-12 has helped me with my energy, You'll get there.

Hang in there. I can remember my 1st weeks post-op and my stomach did the same thing. No matter what I drank or how small a bite of food I took, my stomach sounded like a chainsaw dumped into a garbage disposable. It does get better and easier with every passing day.

Keep Pimpin' that Sleeve!

Everyone is different. I'm just over a week post op and have been able to walk 5 miles a day with no problem although today I did wake up with a pain in my side where they pulled my stomach through. I haven't walked my dogs this soon after surgery, and actually just bought a harness for one of them since he pulls. Just take your time, stick with it and you'll do great! I

The first week is the worst, I was able to do so much more with each passing day. The surgery was so successful it was worth the sound effects and discomfort! Good Luck

I was sleeved on Monday. I feel fine when I'm at home. Doing small things cooking and cleaning. Today I went out shopping and I was wiped out after. I needed that reality check that I'm still healing and even though I feel really good, I only had surgery 5 days ago! Take it easy. ????

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
