Well, I'm more than a year out, but when I was a year out, I went from wide to "normal", but the same size.

All of my shoes are a little looser. I am not sure if my size will change or not, but I can definitely tell my feet are smaller and I am only halfway done losing weight.

Yep, my shoe size is smaller by 1/2 size. My feet are now ripped like a bodybuilder! :-) If my feet had abs, my six-pack would be showing.

I'm just over 2 weeks & I have toe gap now! There's light between those toes now. So, yes I'd say they smaller.

Yes! Less weight means less pressure on your feet and less to spread out. I had to get rid of kore than half of my shoes- especially winter ones- because they began falling off of my feet!

Funny ... I just asked a friend of mine who's lost a lot of weight the same question. He lost about 1/2 size as I have ... I noticed my slip on dress shoes were coming off and I was walking a bit "off" ... I just bought new shoes this past weekend, 1/2 size smaller and they are perfect ... I didn't notice it on the sneakers, since you use laces, but the slip on dress shoes made it obvious!!

The only shoes I have that fit me now are ones that were too tight or narrow before! What I want to know is, when does shoe size settle down? Because I really don't want to be buying shoes in many different sizes.

Can any one share based on their experience?

I bought new knee high boots yesterday, 9 weeks out. I went from an 11 to a 9, in a brand that runs small. Totally freaked me out!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
