So Far I have not found anything that I cannot eat. That being said for some reason Cottage cheese does not taste good to me anymore. I am sure my stomach would tolerate it I just don't like the taste of it where I loved the stuff before surgery...Everything else seems to be fair game.

Can anyone else eat whatever they want? pizza? bread? It doesn't seem to bother me?

Omg I thought I was alone. How many months are you in? I'm 9 months in and I literally can eat and eat and eat and not get full and I get no pain nothing what's so ever. I'm eating literally worse no then before surgery. And I am always hungry. It's like I never had surgery. I just can't seem to understand that I can eat all that.

I only lost 60 in 9 months. And now I'm gaining weight. I can't seem to program my mind to stop and just eat little. But I'm just always hungry. And thought the surgery will help with my mind by eating less. But no pain so I just keep going. In scared to gain weight again but I just can't stop eating. U know when someone has good addiction it's hard. And this surgery deff not helping when I can eat alot still.

I am only 2 months in. I'm discouraged. I can't imagine what I will be eating like at 9 months if I can eat like this now. ugh. :-/

That's how I feel. I am an addictions counselor and I know exactly what I am doing but my addiction is strong. I have to figure out how to be stronger. I was hoping that surgery would disable my ability to eat so much and take away the desire, but it looks like that is not the case.

Your a counselor for food addiction? What exactly I have to do to stop this. Because I'm so weak and I can't seem to be strong. It's so hard. And what exactly do you eat? Give me an example and how much. For instance can you eat two slice pizza?

Don't be discouraged folks. I can eat a lot. And I do. I eat about 2000 calories a day at 17 months post op. And those are mostly healthy calories. No starches or junk food. It hasn't stopped me from losing almost 200 pounds. The reason is....I eat clean, I exercise, I drink 120oz of Water a day or more. And I still weigh an measure my food. I don't eat till I'm full. I don't usually get full. I don't have to. If I eat Protein every 3 hours I stay not hungry, which is all I need. If I eat a bunch of junk, carbs, starches and sugar I'll stay hungry and want to eat more junk. If I concentrate on lean Proteins I stay satisfied.

The surgery gave me a window of opportunity to lose weight and turn my lifestyle around, but it did not limit me to the point that I could eat anything I wanted and still lose weight. Following those guidelines has worked for me despite my sleeve's rather large capacity. It can work for you too.

Weigh and measure your food. Eat Protein every 3 hours or so. Drink as much Water as you can in between. Exercise everyday. Eliminate foods that just leave you hungry....mainly starches and processed "healthy" foods like Protein Bars.

Wow 200 pounds that is great. My problem is I eat junk all day everyday. And it's crazy. I need to stop it and eat clean. Weigh and measure the food? How much it's supposed to be for each meal? What is your daily schedule eating?

I eat about every 3 hours....so 5-6 times per day. Every other meal is a "bigger" meal and the others are more like a snack. The bigger meals I'll measure out about 350 calories worth and no more. 350 calories is slit of lean turkey or fish. A little broccoli or asparagus added to it hardly adds any calories but adds much needed nutrients. The smaller in between meals are more like 200 calories and will often be just lean deli meat, cheese or a Protein shake. I try to have some fruit once a day and green veggies 1-2 times a day. I rarely eat red meat so my Protein is mostly fish, turkey and chicken.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
