Timeforchange20 8 Posted October 17, 2013 Some days I wonder if I made the right decision!! I feel like I'm sick all the time! I was sleeved 9 weeks ago and recently am throwing up all the time! I am too scared to move beyond soft food and feel like its impossible to get in all the nutrition I need in a day... I am now lactose intolerant and many other food gives me "tummy troubles" I am down 54 pounds which makes me so happy but some days I wonder if this will be what life is like forever! RJ'S/beginning 5,358 Posted October 17, 2013 Nope it won't be like this forever.....What your going through is quite common actually. I know it is intimidating to have to move out of your comfort zone and start to eat solids...You will be very glad you did once you are in the grove... I had to learn to eat all over again when I was in the hospital...I did not eat for 51/2 months....They had to reteach me how to swallow...Hard to believe eh....But really glad they did..I explore new foods all the time now and eat things I have never eaten in my life before....I am having a lot of fun trying new things and now I spend some time watching food porn to get ideas how I can change up my food... It is not another addiction for me..It is that I paid a huge price for this surgery and have gone through a lot over the last 11 months....I am totally making it interesting and yes even fun for me..... Just start out with a very small portion and put your fork down after each bite.....Listen to your sleeve it will tell you when you have had enough of the good stuff....I don't trust it with slider foods but that is a whole other issue for many of us on the sleeve.... Long winded I know....hope it helps a little
