The first couple weeks/months postop I could only eat a couple ounces of yogurt. Now I csn eat a whole 5 or 6 ounce container no problem. At two weeks you probably can have just a few bites before your full.

Just a week out of surgery and I am looking forward to having my fat-free-sugar-free Greek yougurt again. Much more palatable than these horrible whey Protein Drinks I've been downing. Looking forward to week three!

I'm looking forward to it too! Starting tomorrow :) I'm so over cream Soups and Protein shakes!

Thanks everyone for the replies! I'll just eat a few bites and try to watch for fullness.

A "single serve" container made 3 servings for me the first week I was able to have yogurt. I also bought a popsicle mold and made frozen yogurt pops. I made 4 pops out of one of those containers. I also made sugar pudding free pops, they were amazing.

I'm 5 months post op, and I can't eat a whole 5 oz container of Greek yogurt. Stonyfield Farms makes a 4 pack of 4 oz containers. Those work really well for me. I get the 0% fat, plain and mix with a tsp of powdered Fiber, tsp of Splenda and tsp of no sugar added Blueberry Preserves. It's my nightly treat and about 1,000 calories less than my former night treat (a pint of Ben & Jerry's).

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
