Hi I was sleeved June 6th. I find I can eat most anything now. A normal day is yogurt, Protein Drink, tuna and crackers, I eat a reg dinner just small portion Protein first. and my evening snack is 1/2 a small apple and a tablespoon of crunchy Peanut Butter.

I was sleeved on June 7th and am eating what ever I feel like eating. I am however avoiding the Pasta, bread and rice. Everything else is a go! :)

So far I have lost 57 pounds but weigh in is tomorrow and I am hoping for a few more pounds. I am happy with my weight loss but know that carbs would make it so much slower for me. My body just craves the stupid things so I have to stay away or the monster will wake up!!

Once you start eating regular food again, minus the fats and sugar, is Portion Control easier? That's my fear, getting too hungry again.

Oh yes the Portion Control is so much better.. I can eat 3 oz at a time, if that much at times.. I'll feel sick if I eat more than I should... I don't think I'll have problems with portion control..

I am just over 4 mo post op. June 5. I eat anything I want but I am finding out sweet anything just doesn't taste good anymore i have tried my favorite preop drink "sonic dr pepper" over and over but still remains horrible tasting. The only problem I have had and continue to have is nausea. The only time it bothers me is after I have taken a few bites - not even 1/4 cup of food - I feel really nauseates. It only last a few minutes but I don't want anything else to eat. I keep wondering if this is the way my stomach is telling me "full". Wondering if anyone had this problem. Any feedback?

I was sleeved june 22. I eat almost everything just very little of it. The only thing I'm having trouble with is milk, rice and fresh salads. I can eat most cooked veggies however. I even had pizza but only one slice at a time and the other day we went for hamburgers but i could only manage half of the childrens' size. i find that sweets don't taste very good any more so I make my own using apples and bananas and blueberries instead of sugar. I find this gives them the right amount of sweetness although everyone else complains that my cakes are not sweet. They're perfect for me. I had a lot of nausea too and vomiting. My doc explained that i need to eat slowly. I thought i was but i was apparently wrong. now I chew each bite at least 30-40 times and wait 2-3 minutes to take the next bite. That took care of the nausea for me.

So on a typical day i have yogurt and fruit in the morning, small Snacks of cheese and rusks or penaut butter every 2-3 hours and a supper with Protein ( meat, chicken or fish) in the evening with veggies.

I was sleeved July 1 so in almost 4 months out. I, too, eat most anything that I want to. The amount I eat really depends on what it is I am eating. I don't do bread or regular Pasta. I find that most gluten free things are made with brown rice flour which does not swell in our stomach.

I can eat most anything 1 month in. I went on a cruise 1 month in and never had any issues with food (besides the obvious not eating a lot). Now I eat healthy most of the time, I havent had carbs in forever though (including breads, potatoes, rice, and pasta). I just eat meat and veg/fruits and lots of dairy.

I am 4 months out (June 3rd) and I can eat anything. As of today I've lost 64 pounds.

I do eat Protein first and limit my carbs, but I'm not super strict about it (meaning I will eat an occasional cracker or slice of bread).

I am 5 months in and have lost 70 pounds. I eat anything. Rice, Pasta, and bread fill me up faster so I don't eat much of those. I would rather eat more of the other stuff. I eat a ton of beef Jerky. I do eat sweets like ice cream and things like that but my portions are small and occasional. If my family eats out I can eat a whole piece of pizza (sometimes the crust). Most of a 1/4 sub. Most of a cheeseburger. Meals at home are 3-4 ounces if meat and a Tspoonful of veggies and a spoonful of mashed potatoes.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.
