I love frozen edamame, steamed and salted and sometimes a dash of cayenne pepper.

I love dried edamame, roasted with a little sea salt for crunch, Fiber, and Protein. http://www.amazon.co...s=dried edamame

But I ADORE crunchamame! They're a little pricey but they taste so good! http://www.amazon.co...rds=crunchamame

It's kind of like pirate booty texture--light fluffy, crunchy and enough Protein and fiber in it to not feel bad about it. VERY filling. One serving is 1/2 cup and that's 90 calories. I can't finish it.

Oh but I certainly plan to! so good. If you're craving salty junk food, maybe try this instead.

Just ordered some and can't wait until I can try them. I tried roasting my own but they didn't turn out quite the way I had hoped. :(

I ordered the onion & chive. We'll see how it goes! Can't eat them yet but they'll be ready when I am!

How far out did you all start eating this? I can't have crunchy until 6mos out, but I know you said it was softer textured.

You know that edamame is just Japanese for soybean, right? I cannot have soy, it is pretty destructive to someone with autoimmune issues but maybe a lot of people don't realize these are just soybeans.

Yes I limit my soy intake a bit but I don't worry about it too much. It doesn't seem to cause flares for me. I try to eat edamame or soy milk but not tofu or seitan or other processed things since the studies indicate that's where many of the issues lie.

Hmm, I didn't know that, interesting. There needs to be a forum at VST for people with autoimmune disorders. Today I had a salad consisting of romaine, cabbage, baked salmon, and self-made dressing; plain yogurt, lemon juice, mustard, salt and pepper. I got 3 bites in and stopped, I was full. About 10 minutes later I got all sneezy and bleary eyed as though I had just eaten white flour, why?? I know there are cross-reactive foods out there, but all things considered this was a pretty clean meal.

I think an autoimmune forum would be a great idea! We have had a couple of threads but I lose them all the time.

Yeah me too, how do we make it happen? Contact Alex? Susan? I mean, there is a sizeable population here with AI issues and in fact every day now the medical community is discovering more and more links between AI leading to obesity leading to neurological disorders, etc. But it all starting with autoimmune.

I just looked these up OMG! They look amazing! What is your favorite flavors?

I got the "Lightly seasoned" and thought they were kind of boring, so I might try the more heavily flavored ones next time. The crunch is light and they kind of disintegrate when you chew them up. That's likely why they don't bother Sleevette.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
