Before and After pics with starting weight less 220?

Recommended Posts

I am schedule to have surgery Nov 18th, would love to see pictures of anyone who was starting weight in the lower 200's and your current weight now. Goal for me is 150 and wondering if anyone else has lost that much about 60-70lbs? How is your skin?

Surgery day I was 222. Today Im 145 and my skin is ok. My arms sag a little bit (I just dont wear sleeveless things too often), my butt sags a little bit but yoga helps that, my 'girls' sag a little bit because I lost a lot of mass (went from a 44D to a 38C) but fitting into size 8 skinny jeans and a medium top, being healthy, being able to zip knee high boots, being healthy, etc is worth every single sagging skin cell!!!

It started at 235 currently the weight is 152.

I'm 11 months out my thighs are a fright! :P

And yes I have flappy arms I'm also 47 so it might be better if you are you younger.

:) thanks, I never in a million years would of thought that I would be an inspiration to anyone...

It is truly moving (and I had to explain the tears in my eyes to my husband that just walked in)

You will do it too and in a short time. I bet someone will be saying the same thing to you!

On a side note? I just walked my son to school, a simple thing I know.. But a year ago it would of been painful (physically and emotionally)

Today it was a normal thing to do as a normal person. It's these moments that make it worth it :)

I'm 59 and my arms and girls sag already! I figure when I lose 90 lbs I'll be able to wrap up in my loose skin and keep warm next winter!

Yep, I feel if loose skin is my worst issue in life then I'm pretty fortunate.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
