jennyc 0 Posted March 3, 2007 Just wanting to introduce myself, I had my op almost 2 years ago and have lost approximately 15 -18 kg's so far. I was a little slack for almost a year and never went back to my doctor for regular checks which I don't recommend you do. Consequently I never lost much weight during that time. I'm now back on track and started the weight loss again. Looking forward to being involved with this support group and hope I can give support in return. PS: I love my band and have no regrets about the operation. Jenny

jennyc 0 Posted March 7, 2007 Hi Gigi and jackal1209 Thank you for your prompt reply's. It's exciting to meet people in the same boat as me. I have been unable to go to the support groups offered by my doctor so having access to this support is going to be great. I live in Brisbane Australia but originally from NZ. I have always been overweight really but stacked it on when I gave up smoking. My heaviest was about 94kg which is not good when I am only 157 cm (5 ft 2) tall. I am now at 77 and would like to get to 65. I am very slow at losing weight. I have recently had an adjustment but am finding it hard to keep much down at all this time. Can anyone advise me what types of meals you eat directly after you have had an adjustment. jackal1209 you weight loss is incredible. Fantastic!
jackal1209 1 Posted March 7, 2007 I found that with every adjustment, there was about a week or two "retraining" mysely on eating correctly. Just chew everything to death, LOL. If it persists more than a week or two, then maybe you were "overfilled" an I would see your doc. Just remember too, an adjustment is just that, more restriction, and you should feel it. j
