Ok so is anyone else having issues with pill sizes now ? I just got back from the dr because I have a sinus infection ( lucky me) I explained to the dr that I recently had sleeve surgery and the meds need to be able to go down so I can't have a huge pill , she said oh no this will be fine .... Then I get to the pharmacy and bam it's huge thank god I had the pharmacist see if I could crush or cut the pill .... Wtf why don't they listen to us ?? Frustrated

Ugh! Totally feel your pain! Huge pills (especially chalky ones) make me gag and sometimes vomit! I flat out refuse anything that isn't tiny, chewable, or liquid. All the best!

Yes! Not just the pull size but Dr and Meds in general. I'm having a problem with my knee, but trying to keep exercising. I went to the orthopedic Dr and he put me on Celebrex. It did not go down well, I kept trying to take it but went in for a follow up with gastric sleeve PA and she freaked. She said Celebrex is so harsh on the stomach. I talk to the pharmacy and they made several suggestion of creams, when I told the orthopedic Dt he said she didn't know just keep taking the Celebrex, I don't go to him anymore but I still have no relief for my knee. I think most Dr do not understand our surgery!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
