If my boyfriend didn't hide my scale I'd probably be on it 5x a day obsessing, but since he did Sunday is my weigh day and its always nice to see the number go down even if just a few pounds....I lost 4 lbs this week so I'm down 30lbs since my surgery 6 wks ago....it's less anxiety not weighing daily, at least for me....

Recently finding I do not over-do the scale any more, even better, I just weigh in at same daily times for 2-3 day's to be sure what my actual lost weight is or gains after a month or so, my plan is I now like it this way best.

I weigh every day, as I like to know what my body is doing. How does it correlate with what I have eaten, and my progress so far. I don't fixate on the numbers, but sure get excited when I lose. When I gain, I often say "ok, that sucks, next will be better". I don't get upset. Normal functions cause weights to vary from day to day. Every time I weigh myself it is a surprise to me haha. Btw, I am still pre-op.

      Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
      What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
