Thunderhead27 10 Posted October 11, 2013 I am going to jump in here because I am 69 . I have my surgery on Nov. 4th and will be 70 in a month. How does all this work for we more mature folks? 1 Finally17 reacted to this
TJL 222 Posted October 12, 2013 Well I'm 53, and it seems to be working ok for me. The surgery itself wasn't bad, and the sleeve is just another tool to help us lose the weight. Just follow your doc's plan and you should be fine. I tend to lose weight more slowly than some of the other folks on here, but I couldn't lose anything with out the sleeve so I'm satisfied that it's doing its job. Good luck to you! 2 Finally17 and hopeful one reacted to this
marylu 12 Posted May 14, 2016 I will have my sleeve done on June 24th & I turn 70 July 1st. It seems like I have waited for this my whole life. Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App 1 Finally17 reacted to this
Pescador 1,374 Posted September 9, 2016 I just turned 70 and had my sleeve at 66 with my husband. It has been life changing and we would do it again in a heartbeat. 15 years of WL seminars for him, and I led him to the fire. He is so thankful, happy, and 100 lbs. lighter for the rest of his life. 1 LillieDuFran reacted to this
Finally17 54 Posted March 26, 2017 I'm 69, Dr said I can expect surgery to be scheduled in August. I'm so looking forward to it! Going thru my testing. Fed up with seeing pictures of me being the fat one! Hope to stay in contact with some who are having surgery in 2017. Good luck to us all! 1 colleen 5595 reacted to this
