PdxMan 4,292 Posted October 11, 2013 I had 5 scars, 4 for the laproscopic instruments and one to remove the excised stomach. Just over 2 years post, you would have to look really hard and close to see the scars. They are very small.
JessO221 14 Posted October 11, 2013 I am being sleeved on oct 23 and was just curious scars on body how many and were they would be and If their big and noticable I'm 3 weeks post-op. I have 5 scars, the biggest (where they removed the stomach) is 1 inch long. The rest are half an inch or smaller.
Shells_Almost_There 357 Posted October 11, 2013 I had 5 incisions. 3 are tiny (less than an inch). 2 are larger, but by that I mean 2 inches, maybe. I am finishing up my 4th week post op and all the incisions have healed nicely. I think the scars are going to be barely noticeable! I'm really happy with these results. I now have permission to put neosporin on them, and I'm hoping that will minimize the scarring even more.
GreenEyedFireCracker 21 Posted October 11, 2013 I have 6 - from the DaVinci Robot - i also had gallbladder removed laproscopically 16 years ago and yes the scars do fade, but you can still see them. They are skin color. I never minded them before because it wasn't like I was going to be showing off my belly, right? But these are right in the middle and larger and there are more of them, so i understand why you're asking. I work for a Pharmaceutical company - the one that sells the lapband actually (lol) and we have a top of the line Skincare line called SkinMedica - there is a scar recovery gel. It's meant for those who have have surgical procedures. I am using this in the hopes that one day I can get into a bikini! You can buy it here: http://www.skinmedica.com/skin-care-products/scar-recovery-gel-with-centelline-mini
