7 Bites_Jen 479 Posted October 10, 2013 (edited) My husband has issues with weight. Not as bad as what I've had - he's only about 20 lbs overweight at the moment compared to my past 130 lbs over ... But he still has issues with eating. Once in a while he gets a wild hair to do something about it. Usually it's a short fast or juicing - both of which there is nothing wrong with, when done right. But this time his idea is simply insane, and I'm curious how it's going to pan out ... He's decided to mirror everything I eat for the next month. And I mean the food itself and the portion sizes. Now, I can eat more now than I could a year ago, but I'm still only eating about 3/4-1 C of food at a time ... He's used to a complete plate filled with 3 cups plus ... While I think it's a great idea - and it will hold me more accountable to what I'm supposed to be eating as well - I am not sure how successful he's going to be with this venture ... I would love to hear some thoughts on this! Have you heard of anyone trying this before? Edited October 10, 2013 by 7Bites
pjackson0523 158 Posted October 10, 2013 I know the feeling. My husband isn't overweight AT ALL. Yet, he refuses to eat anything I can't have. I'm in pre-op right now, so he too, isn't really eating much. Last night his dinner was Ramen Noodles and boiled eggs. It aggravates me. I certainly don't want him to lose weight. One positive is our grocery bill will plummet. 2 7 Bites_Jen and chrystine reacted to this

It's so nice to have someone that is supporting you like that, though! Ramen noodles? You can have ramen noodles??
marfar7 1,533 Posted October 10, 2013 My hubby would never make it. He's very weight aware too, but he's more into overdoing the Atkins Induction (read little to no carbs - including healthy fruit) than Portion Control. In fact, he's mentioned thats why he luvs Atkins - he can eat all he wants, just no carbs. I think it's great he's showing enuf interest in how u eat to copy u. Better make healthy choices for the next month! 1 7 Bites_Jen reacted to this
