I had my surgery orthoscopic so I just have 5 small holes and one larger one where they took my stomach out. I'm a week post-op and can do almost anything. I'm still tired but I am dealing. winnie410 1 Posted October 21, 2013 I don't have any drains either. Just a couple of small holes. They itch but no pain at all. I have plenty of energy as well. I just get a little sleepy around 6pm. For the people with no energy, have you spoken to your doctor about this? Maybe a Vitamin or hydration problem? I am praying for blessings on all the oct bariatric beauties. 1 Sweetness88 reacted to this

Seela 1,187 Posted October 22, 2013 First few times getting in and out of bed were really rough. I cried some. But I feel leaps and bounds better by the hour! I have been walking every 1-2 hours.. gas not a problem. Now I can take a pretty brisk wal around the unit. I have mot experienced any nausea but every sw allow makes my sleeve contracy. I feel great! 1 JillSG reacted to this

My advice is stop taking pain killers. I did that and I had 1 day of uncomfortable and the weak feeling went away . I'm just now starting to introduce Water but I have been drinking nestle splash water. It has flavors in it and my favorites were the lemon and mixed berry. They were the only reason I was able to keep water down bc it takes the edge off it. Also, Gatorade g2 or Powerade zero will help rebuild electrolytes and that will help with the weak feeling. As to the breathing I had to practice taking as deep a breathe as I could 10-12 times an hour bc it keeps your lungs from getting lazy. It hurts a little but it helps in the long run! Also I sometimes use the pain killers at night to help me sleep. It helps me get more rested but during the day I don't do any drugs during the day anymore bc it was crazy how exhausted and worn I felt. 2 Sweetness88 and JillSG reacted to this
JillSG 5 Posted October 22, 2013 Everybody is different. I felt awful on Saturday. I went to target and toys r us and when I came home, I crashed. I felt like I was dead. I think that walking is giving me more energy. I can't drink Water at all! I have been drinking decafe tea with skim milk or Powerade zero. Today I got some passion tea from Starbucks and loved that. I think everybody heals differently. I had a csection that was the worst and my attitude was that nothing could have been worse than that. Please let me know if I can give you any other ideas. You just have try different stuff and see what works for you. Are you taking Vitamins? ? I'm taking Bariatric Fusion 4 times a day.
