mountaingirlCO 9 Posted October 10, 2013 I am just over one week post op and it feels like they removed the band but forgot the sleeve. I just started soft foods yesterday and feel like I could eat far more than the one ounce every two hours I am suppose to. Anyone else have this experience? LipstickLady 25,682 Posted October 10, 2013 Wow! Your diet progressed fast. I was liquids for a week, puréed for two weeks, mushy for two weeks, soft foods foods after that. Your tummy is still healing and numb. You may not be able to feel the restriction yet. What are you eating? 1 mountaingirlCO reacted to this
sbarbiegirl 109 Posted October 10, 2013 Yeah I am 12 days out and I still have 9 more days of liquids
mountaingirlCO 9 Posted October 10, 2013 I was on liquids for 1 week. Weeks 2 and 3 are liquids plus 1 ounce every 2 hours of one of the following: egg whites, refried Beans, yogurt, sf pudding or lf cottage cheese. I know 1 ounce isn't that much but I swear I don't feel anything. I remember feeling much more restriction with the band early in the process. I am just worried I am going to be able to eat too much if I am not really careful.
LipstickLady 25,682 Posted October 10, 2013 If you measure out one ounce every two hours, you aren't in any danger of eating too much. Chew chew chew and take at least 15 minutes to eat it. Restriction will come with denser food.< /p> 2 sophiepants and ProudGrammy reacted to this
RebecaSparkles 247 Posted October 10, 2013 I feel the same way. Heard that once we get "real" food you'll feel it. Keep us posted. You're not the only one. allons-y
CowgirlJane 14,260 Posted October 10, 2013 listen to lipstick lady... At this stage eat by the scale and clock...you just dont feel it due to nerve damage and soft/liquid food. It will change, so dont cause issues by overdoing it now.
