I have been stuck at 202 for a month. I just want to see that scale say 199. So frustrating!

This going to sound quaint, but as long as you are following your program, the scale while move in the right direction. That said, if you aren't already, drink as much Water as you can stand...I mean like, so much the sight of another clear liquid will make you scream or feel like you are drowning. Yes, that much. It is that important to the whole weight / fat loss process and get as much rest as you can. Follow your program and everything will be fine.

Thanks for the response. I do need to be more strict on the diet and increase the Water. I think stress has a lot to do with it. I need to refocus!

I am at 203 and while I haven't been stuck here (hope I didn't just jinx myself  ) I can understand the frustration. Onderland is so close and yet can seem so far away. I have faith that we will both get there real soon!

Whenever I get, as you say "stuck". Imprefer to think of it as my new normal (which is lower than my previously higher normal). Which I know is just my body stopping to take a breath and rest. Weight loss is stress on our system. Our body wants to feel stabalized. However when I'm ready to push forward and resume weightloss I do something different. Lower caloric intake, increase exercise, Water, take a colonic cleanse tea... Something quite extreme. Like for instance... I'm still 20 days pre op and have been on 1200 cal diet. Hit a plateue stuck at 218 for a week. Have been on 800 cals for last two days... Now finally down to 216.

To to www.resetmypouch.com.

Helps jump start a weight loss stall. Recommended by many VSG veterans.

Good luck !

I was stalled at 203 for a bit as well. Hang in there, follow the plan, and you'll get past it.

I don't mind the stalls. I just look for the other changes, they are there. I am wearing a smaller pant now at 43 years old than I did in high school.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
