And then...imo, this group was created so that ALL of us cud b supported thru the ups and the downs. I am sry that u r having a hard time w this and I pray for a turn around soon. But also know that everyones victory's are everyone's, as well as everyone's downs are ours as well. I (we) are here to help u. And what u may b going thru might help some1 else. So Ty 4 ur support and if u choose to vent here, plz don't fear bc we r all adults and its our choice to take what we may read from u and use it as its taken, meaning, ur not responsible for changing our minds, we may second guess, but leave that to us. Headed to the hospital - excited to be on my way! Prayers and good thoughts for all the 12/16 folks are appreciated. And also, maybe a few good thoughts for my hubby too - I know he is stressing out for me and is trying not to show it.

Headed to the hospital now. Excited to get things going. Prayers and good thoughts headed out to all of my 12/16 sleeve siblings :). If you guys could spare some good thoughts for my hubby, that would be great. I know this is stressing him out and he doesn't want to show it :)

Prayers and positive thoughts for speedy recoveries and minimally painful hernia repairs if needed. I'm still in pain from my hernia repair on my 4th day out but I am feeling better than I did on night 1&2. Really thought I was going to faint from pain on night 1&2. Be courageous and allow God to work his mighty powers through your surgical teams expertise and skill sets.

I go to "my tickers" and hit edit then it will let you edit the different parts of it. That's how I do it from my computer. Not sure how to do it on my phone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
