I'm one month post-op and my doctor didn't tell me I couldn't have gummy vitamins. I use the Flintstones Sour gummies and the Vitacraves interchangeably. I also use the sour Calcium gummies as well. Neither one of them have seemed to upset my stomach at all. The Vitamins are so small though that even if they do expand it's not like it's more than you would eat in a normal meal anyway. I tried the Centrum chewable ones and I wasn't a fan.

My surgeon and Nutritionist do no allow gummy vitamins. They didn't say anything about how they expand, but they do not have all the same Vitamin values of regular Vitamins. And if you actually read the label, its true. The gummies are missing one of the B vitamins. Also they do not absorb as well as the chewables. I use the Flintstones Complete vitamins and take two a day. Plus my extra Calcium and B12.< /p>

The children's flints tone Vitamins?

Yep! Just have to make sure they are the Flintstones Complete. I have to take two of them each morning.

My surgeon's office said they were fine, as long as you get the multi that has Vitamins AND minerals - most of them on the market only have vitamins, not minerals. I get mine from Target. It is the Target brand, adult version with vitamins AND minerals. My surgeon said these were fine. I am 7 months out and getting close to goal. Have been doing the gummies all along and my bloodwork is fine.

My Nut said the same about gummies not delivering on all requirements. I take 2 Flintstones completes a day too, plus calcium citrate and B12.< /p>

My Nut said the same thing about gummies. I can't tolerate the flintstone chewables...yuck. I will have to find something new.

I figure the best Vitamins are the ones I'll actually take. So I take gummies. Religiously. I look forward to them. I hate pills, have always had trouble swallowing them even before surgery.

Seriously the best Vitamins are the ones you take. Even if it's half a dose of vitamins compared to the caplets, at least I get something from these. The bottles of caplets I have sitting around aren't doing me any good.

If you're better with pills than me of course, whole different story. Then, consumer reports says the best bang for the buck are the Kirkland/Costco generic ones, but to take the ones for seniors. They have one something in it the others don't, I forget what. They are big, but one caplet is all you need.

I'm with you! I will take the gummy vitamins, but not the others…I take them twice a day, which is what my NUT recommends and I don't mind b/c they are good:)

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
