I use Premier Protein that you can get at Sam's or costco. They taste exactly like chocolate milk out of the dairy case and the great thing is they are 30 grahams of Protein each. The vanilla taste just like the chocolate to me but have a little powdery feel so I just get the chocolate now.

I can sometimes handle muscle milk light. Mostly (now post op) I am drinking Isopure. Not a lot of calories, but good Protein and not terrible. The flavors that are the red/purple/mango&peach are the ones I can drink. I add Water to make them less sweet. They are online & at GNC.< /p>

I tried several and I found that Premier Protein's are the best out there. Reasonably priced too.

I like the premier Protein as well......someone suggested adding 2T dry, nonfat milk and 2T of PB2 (a Peanut Butter powder) to their chocolate shakes.......I was getting bored with the Premier Protein drinks, so I put that all in a blender with the chocolate, and it was quite yummie.

The nice thing about the premier is they are ready to drink, grab and go

I LOVE New Direction shakes, Soups and puddings.

Also GNC powder ( vanilla) mixed with diet Snapple. ( wide mouth jars are a plus)

Awe...don't feel bad. Just keep trying. Maybe you can add one of the Torani flavors to it such as caramel, hazalnut, or vanilla. Some say they have tried that which make it better for them. Plus they are sugar free.< /p>

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
