Fixerupper 335 Posted October 14, 2013 Did they remove your gallbladder? One of the other things my surgeon thought may have been making me sick was a hiatal hernia. I had been tested and tested but because it was a sliding or hiatal hernia they didn't see it for quite some time. Finally after a number of swallows and ct scans they saw it. I am so sorry you are feeling bad. Hopefully, if they are not seeing anything you are just having a tougher and slower time with healing and will be feeling better in a matter of days or weeks. Do you have someone to help advocate for you with the hospital and doctors?

Jen35 283 Posted October 15, 2013 Well here is an update I have been admitted four days now done an xray with barium showed the barium went down okay, had a ct came back normal, and did another endoscopy which came back okay last thing I did was a abdominal sonogram which shows my gallbladder full of sludge and gallstones so im doing another surgery take out the gallbladder and to physically look at the scar tissue on the sleeve. I heard that loosing to much weight can cause the gallbladder to get stones I dont know if thats true Sounds familiar. I had issues at 3 weeks out - couldn't drink/eat anything without nausea. Got very dehydrated. Went to the ER and did all the testing and it was my gallbladder. Took it out and my recovery was much better! Hang in there!

the-Russ 91 Posted October 18, 2013 I can't comment on what to eat, but you have had a very rough road and should NEVER feel like a failure. You have conquered everyone's worst fear and are on the road to recovery. I am certain you will see the results you are looking for. This process is about getting healthy and it sounds like you are doing that. Weight loss is part of the process so I am certain you will see those results soon. 1 chefcoll reacted to this
