I was sleeved in June and have lost 40. These last two months have really slowed down. One thing I don't get all my Water. Does anyone know why drinking all our water helps u lose weight? Does it have to do with flushing out retention? If anyone knows how to help their water intake let me know, I am struggling to get in 32 oz.

I drink 16.9 watr bottles. So when I do my walk or bike ride I drink one. Then I have another when I take my Vitamins. Then my 3rd is almost always a crystal light. I babysit my 4th all afternoon and have a 5th for bed. 5 bottles @ 16.9= 84.5

What I try to remind myself that any normal person who ate less than evem 1500 calories and then excercised atleast 5 days a week would lose and maintain a healthy weight. And we CUT OUT OUR STOMACHES!! Easy to forget the odds are in our favor for a change! One day at a time works here too, patience sucks!

I agree it's very hard to be patient when we are losing so slowly or in long stalls it doesn't seem fair when so many others are losing incredible amounts so quickly.

If it helps my surgeon saw me yesterday and said my loss to date is slower than he would like but not at the point where he is concerned and has suggested I increase my exercise and really work on good choices. Its a little annoying as I'm eating 800 cals per day most days so not sure how much healthier I can be without starving myself! Its not like I'm eating too much here.

I was sleeved April 4th and am down 69 lbs. like others have said it's frustrating when u read how some have lost that within two months out.... Not six.

I keep cal at or below 800 Protein 80-100 daily( most days... Never below70)

Do minimal toning exercises (5 lb weights) and wall push-ups ( knees still too painful for floor exercises)

I've been stalled now for almost a month. Even gain a lb then lose that lb to gain and lose it again.

Very frustrating. But I'm going to keep pushing forward and not give up. I'm thankful for the loss I have had and will be stepping up my efforts to be sure I don't fall back into old habits( a daily struggle)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
