I'm having a cranky day today. I can't figure out a problem at work, and I've got a raging case of the munchies.:hungry: I tried my usual things, a nice cup of tea, Water, a small orange, they didn't do it. So, I found myself standing in front of the vending machine at work, with a pocket full of change, and nothing looked good. It wasn't even that I was struggling to be good, I lost that battle when I headed down the stairs. But even candy that had been my favorites before banding didn't sound appealing. I came back up and found some peanuts in my bag and ate a handful of them. It's another of those amazing, unexcepted post-band moments I love. :clap2:

We all have days....sometimes even several days in a row like that Lisah. Emotional eating used to be my mainstay. I could justify a slice of pecan pie in a New York minute...had to feed my nerves! And it showed.

Aren't you glad that lapband changes so many things? I know I am!

Keep your chin up and packets of peanuts at your desk....smilin'!

Good luck hun!

I am head over heels in love with the Wal Mart brand of cajun trail mix.... it's spicy/salty/sweet all at the same time. Even though it's not completely healthy, just a few bites will totally quench my munchies. I have good restriction and can't eat that much, so it really really does the trick!!!

That sounds good Surby! I'll look for it next time I'm there.

I got some almonds at Target last night I like, they have a salty/sweet/herb coating. I just have to leave them at home, and only bring in a small portion, or I'd be eating them all day.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
