lisah25 3 Posted March 1, 2007 I'm having a cranky day today. I can't figure out a problem at work, and I've got a raging case of the munchies.:hungry: I tried my usual things, a nice cup of tea, Water, a small orange, they didn't do it. So, I found myself standing in front of the vending machine at work, with a pocket full of change, and nothing looked good. It wasn't even that I was struggling to be good, I lost that battle when I headed down the stairs. But even candy that had been my favorites before banding didn't sound appealing. I came back up and found some peanuts in my bag and ate a handful of them. It's another of those amazing, unexcepted post-band moments I love. :clap2:
Dreamer 0 Posted March 1, 2007 We all have days....sometimes even several days in a row like that Lisah. Emotional eating used to be my mainstay. I could justify a slice of pecan pie in a New York minute...had to feed my nerves! And it showed. Aren't you glad that lapband changes so many things? I know I am! Keep your chin up and packets of peanuts at your desk....smilin'! Good luck hun! Dreamer
Surby 1 Posted March 2, 2007 I am head over heels in love with the Wal Mart brand of cajun trail mix.... it's spicy/salty/sweet all at the same time. Even though it's not completely healthy, just a few bites will totally quench my munchies. I have good restriction and can't eat that much, so it really really does the trick!!! lisah25 3 Posted March 2, 2007 That sounds good Surby! I'll look for it next time I'm there. I got some almonds at Target last night I like, they have a salty/sweet/herb coating. I just have to leave them at home, and only bring in a small portion, or I'd be eating them all day.
