morning to noon eating problem

Recommended Posts

Hi all ! Since my last fill (now up to 4.5 cc) it has been very difficult to eat between morning to mid-afternoon. Do you any guys have this problem ? The food just won't go down. Only liquids or soup-creme... I'm do for a fill on november 21, I wonder if I should cancel it ...

I have had issues sometimes in the morning and I just don't want anything at all to eat. I usually have a cup of coffee and wait until I am at work and then have a Protein bar.

If your in the green zone and it sounds like you might be, you can discuss it with your doctor and you might not need another fill and be just fine where you are for a bit.

I had an apt with my Dr. today and I did not get a fill, as I feel like I am right at the green zone mark and about to go on vacation so I put it off for another month and might do so even longer if I continue to lose and be happy with the volume of food I am eating now.

If you can't eat solids for lunch, you are already too tight and probably need about .1cc removed, the last thing you need is more saline.

Ideally you should be able to eat 1-2 oz of solid Protein by lunch time chewed well, WITHOUT throwing it up.

Being in the red zone for long term, can and will cause complications.

Ooo maybe I read this wrong. If you are not able to eat all day until well after lunch and only Soups...Nana is right and you could be too tight. (rhyme not intended) :)

Maybe keep your apt with the Dr. and talk to them about how your feeling and the issue you are having getting solid food in.

Or, if you can eat soupy foods, you may not be chewing solids enough? It also depends on how long this has been going on? If it's just a week or a few days, you could have some swelling that is causing the stuck episodes. If you do get an unfill, I'd keep it to maybe .25 or less? Leave it to the doctor, they know best.

Yousee, I can eat but later in the day, like for exemple, tonight no problem. For lunch I usually have Soup. Nothing else will go down much. Morning, yogourt and coffe.

Leave it as is for a couple of weeks, I went through that and eventually the band loosened up. I kind of miss the days that I couldn't eat early in the morning, I lost weight much faster. I ate cream of wheat and drank Protein shots. You could try drinking something hot 30 minutes before trying to eat something, that use to help mine loosen up. There is a "settling" period for me after each fill. There are periods of trial and error because you don't really know how the fill has affected you, I always lose a food that was okay the month before and I gain back one that I had to take off the list a couple of months prior. It's no exact science, you just have to learn what works for you and your band.

I've never gotten Miss Pearlie unfilled, I just toughed it out and it paid off. If all you can tolerate is liquids in the morning, I say drink up. Carnation Instant Breakfast, ready to drink Muscle Milk, Cream of Wheat and liquid Protein shots carried me through those times. I wish I was still like that - my fill settled and now I can eat just about anything I want early in the morning...not always a good thing.

I have trouble in the morning too, but I just sip tea or coffee as was recommended to me, and it helps. I also don't eat until after my workout now so I think all my "organs" are limber and ready for food by then, lol. I can eat lunch and dinner fine following most rules though. It's no biggie for me to hold off a couple hours for Breakfast. If you CAN eat solids later on you may be ok?
