I'm in nursing school at the moment. I want to know if I should get it done over Christmas Break. I'm out for 3 weeks or should I get it another time.

I went back to work after 3 days with the limitation of lifting no more than 20lbs. I was just fine but was do tired by the end of the first few days. Some people have said they needed a full two weeks. Only you know your body and how you heal, recover, and handle pain. I think 3 weeks would be more than enough though! Good luck!!

That is a good plan. If you are going to be off, anyway, take that time to have your surgery and recover and start the new year off with a new start. :D

I'm a counselor at a high school and my surgery is scheduled for the 17th. I will be out for three weeks while the students are on Christmas break. I was reassured that this will be enough time off from work, although I can have up to 6 weeks.

I'm looking at having mine Dec 16th and therefore I'll get a 2 week break. My surgeon (depending on your work habits) only require a 3 day recovery time off from work. I can't imaging going back that soon and I'm glad this is scheduled for the break.
