Miracle Noodles

Recommended Posts

Fyi, miracle noodles are gluten, carb, calorie free and have the texture of a rice noodle, but fill you up if anyone misses Pasta or ramen etc. They take on the flavor of the sauce you put on it or broth. I ordered mine online. Hope this helps someone.

Wow. I'd love a review after you have it. Never heard of it before..whyyyyy? lol

I have them already. They have a rice or yam noodle texture and come in different shapes ,( to fool yourself) fetuccini, ramen well it looks like ramen they call it angel hair, and rice shape. They come in bags of liquid and need to be rinsed off before cooking them. Quick to cook. It is NOT the texture of an Italian type noodle though, but for zero calories and carbs, what the hell.

I've had miracle noodles, but didn't like them. I'd rather use spaghetti squash.

I've had Miracle Noodles' date=' but didn't like them. I'd rather use spaghetti squash.[/quote']

I just think of cleaning a pumpkin out to carve when I see spaghetti squash. I can't eat the "brains" lol. I also don't know any carbs or calorie information on spaghetti squash. It beats actual fetuccini or spaghetti though, I'm positive! Glad you found something you like.

In that case, yes they are awesome! I like to make a stirfry with canned chicken (because it's so moist) and my favorite veggies with some light soy sauce =) That is how I have liked them best.

But they smell so bad!

They do smell bad, very fishy, so you have to follow the package instructions and wash them thoroughly then dry them, then the smell is gone. I have eaten them many times prior to surgery. I need to try them now and see how they do,

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
