New Spokane Lap Band Dr.

Recommended Posts

There's a new doc in town doing fills, Dr. Vivian Moise. She is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation doctor with a subspecialty in spinal cord medicine, but since she has friends and patients who have had fills, she got trained recently. :)

She charges $275 for the first visit with fill, $250 thereafter. She will begin taking appointments in June 2009. 747-5242 for info.

I have another suggestion: I live in Lewiston, Idaho a short 2 hour drive from Spokane. Joan Richardson is at the Clearwater Clinic in Lewiston and she does the fills or unfills for $100.00

I go to Dr. Vivian Moise for my fills. She is located in downtown Spokane and her fees are very reasonable. $250 for first fill and $200 for follow up fills. Her office number is 747-5242.

Thank you for the information.

I have not had a lap bank yet. If I do, I will go to Mexico as I have no insurance and cannot afford the states.

Do you have yours band? if so, who did yours and how are you coping with it? I guess I'm really scared as my everyday Dr. said "NO"!! :)

lulugirl,

that's fine for those who want to drive 2 hours, spend another hours or so getting a fill, driving home 2 hours, plus incidental time . . . for me, it's too much. i'd rather stay in spokane. dr. moise has done about 5 fills (one unfill) for me and it works out brilliantly.

best of luck wherever you go,

ma'lena

Wow, Im in shock that you are paying so much for your fills!!!! There are 2 ladies that come here from Seattle area and do fills for only $150.00....If you'd like more info let me know, I have there number and I go only to them. They come to Spokane about every 8 weeks or so....I missed them 2 weeks ago so I drove over to Seattle and got my fill on Sat. Anyways, if you'd like the info let me know....

The roads this time of year are, well, unpredictable.

It matters not where you were banded as long as you have, or can get, your operative notes and device information.

Hi. I was banded in Mexico on March 23, 2011. I have my x-rays and operative notes. Looking for a Spokane-area doctor for reasonably priced fills. Your posts are very helpful. Thanks! Do you have any updated information on fill doctors?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
